Noted scholar of military strategy James Holmes will address RCM on Maritime China: Beijing's Growing Naval Power and the Quest for Economic Supremacy. For centuries, ambitious leaders have recognized the connection between economic power and control of vital sea lanes. Mr. Holmes will explore how China is pursuing maritime supremacy in Asia and beyond, and what this means for the global economy. Mr. Holmes is an Associate Professor in the Strategic Research Department of the Naval War College.
