What is the RCM Wheel Society? It’s a team-based rewards program to encourage members of the club to get involved with recruiting the next generation of Milwaukee's leaders.

In 2008-09 we will have six teams with six people each. These teams will compete for incentives such as Bucks and Brewers boxes, theater and concert tickets, and other great prizes generously donated by other Rotary members. They'll be awarded twice each year to the teams which recruit the most new members.

It is critical for all of us to continually recruit in order to maintain the strength and vitality of our important organization. Each of us is here today because someone made the effort to extend the invitation. Your invitation is the only means we have to build our membership.

We have nearly 400 members at the moment and our goal is to have 420 members by the end of 2008. Because our club is so large, and because business and civic leaders regularly change jobs, move, retire or otherwise leave the club, each year nearly 10% of our membership is lost to normal attrition. That's 40 members each year to stay even and another 20 to reach our goal.
