Since the onset of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Rotary Clubs have partnered with the Ukrainian Medical Association of North America (UMANA) and Friends of Be an Angel in the effort to deliver urgently needed medical supplies to Ukraine. In December, the attention turned to delivering generators to provide power and warmth to Ukrainian humanitarian facilities this winter.

Thank You!

Thanks to the volunteers who gathered on Saturday, June 10th to sort and pack donated medical supplies for shipment to Ukraine!

Generator Project Update

This winter Friends of Be an Angel arranged to purchase over 1700 generators.  210 of those generators were purchased with funds raised by Rotary Clubs across Wisconsin, the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and beyond.  Read more here about the project and distribution of the generators in this Impact Report and in this press release about the project.

The generators were gratefully received, as shown  in this video from a grateful teacher.

Partners

For this effort, Rotary Clubs are continuing their partnership with Friends of Be an Angel. Friends of Be an Angel has been an essential and trusted partner in Rotary/UMANA efforts to send medical supplies from Milwaukee/Chicago and distribute them to the frontline in Ukraine. To ensure transparency that the generators reach their intended destination, they provide impact reports and photo/video documentation of the deliveries
